Cookie Policy

Last updated: 10 March 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Brindleford Technologies Ltd ("DataRoomr") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit dataroomr.io and use the DataRoomr platform.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. They are widely used to make websites work, improve the user experience, and provide information to site operators.

2. Cookies We Use

DataRoomr uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or third-party marketing cookies.

Cookie Type Purpose Duration
sid Strictly necessary Session identifier. Maintains your authenticated session after login. Contains no personal data — it is a random identifier that links to server-side session storage. Admin: 30 days (sliding). Investor: 8 hours (fixed).
csrf-token Strictly necessary Cross-site request forgery protection token. Prevents unauthorised actions on your behalf. Session (cleared when browser closes).

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

The cookies listed above are strictly necessary for the operation of the Service. They enable core functionality such as authentication and security protection. The Service cannot function without them. Because they are strictly necessary, these cookies do not require your consent under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Brindleford Analytics

Our marketing website uses a privacy-focused analytics script provided by Brindleford (track.brindleford.co.uk). This script:

  • Does not set any cookies
  • Does not collect personal data
  • Does not track users across websites
  • Collects only aggregate page-view data (page URL, referrer, country) without identifying individual visitors

Because this script does not use cookies or process personal data, it does not require consent.

3.2 Sentry (Error Monitoring)

If enabled, Sentry may collect technical error data when the application encounters an issue. Sentry does not set cookies on your device. Error reports may include your IP address and browser user agent, which are processed under our legitimate interest in maintaining the reliability and security of the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Cookie Settings

Because DataRoomr only uses strictly necessary cookies, we do not display a cookie consent banner. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent requirements under PECR and the UK GDPR.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View what cookies are stored on your device
  • Delete individual or all cookies
  • Block cookies from specific or all websites
  • Set preferences for first-party vs third-party cookies

Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in to DataRoomr.

5. Do Not Track

DataRoomr does not track users for advertising purposes and does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals, because we do not engage in the type of cross-site tracking that DNT is designed to prevent.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we introduce new cookies or change how we use existing ones, we will update this Cookie Policy and, where appropriate, notify you. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when this policy was last revised.
